This week, we honoured Pride Week, a time for both celebration and reflection. It was moving to see our students lead the way in Tuesday’s Prayers, discussing how Pride is portrayed in the media and proudly sharing their own lived experiences.
The spirit of advocacy continued on in our Thursday’s Prayers where students focussed on Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women. Our students challenged us to consider our role in action – clearly already invested in living our school mission.
The intellectual life of the school was also on full display during Monday’s Upper School Faculty meeting. We were joined by Rachelle, Isabel, and Jana, representing our AP classes and Futures & Foresight Microcredentials. Their presentation was a powerful testament to our academic program and the collective learning that happens when students and teachers engage deeply with complex material.
Finally, we were pleased to welcome back several Old Girls/Alum from the Classes of 2022 through 2025 on Thursday. They spent time sharing fresh perspectives with our current grads, reminding us that the Havergal bond is a lifelong support system. As we approach Graduation, it is clear that these ties provide a foundation of community that will follow our students long after they leave our halls.
Have a lovely weekend,
Krista, Deirdre & Cissy
