Holiday Angels Winter Clothing & Gift Card Drive – Final Week!

This will be the last week that we are collecting winter clothing for our Community Partner, New Circles. Please check your closets for anything you might not be using this year. Times are especially tough right now and those who use the services of New Circles really need and appreciate our help. Gift cards will be collected until Tuesday, December 5. These gift cards will be delivered to New Circles and distributed to our families at the end of that week. Please reach out to Jessica Randall if you have any questions. Here is the tax receipt for you to fill out as well. Thank you for your ongoing support of our community partnerships!

New! Athletics Livestreaming in Gym A/B

Exciting news! Gym A/B athletic games can now be livestreamed. We hope this is an opportunity for families who may not be able to attend events in person, to be able to support the Gators. You will be able to find the links in the parent portal or on @havergal_gators Instagram stories on game day. Livestream games are not recorded and therefore will not be stored in our portal. If you have any questions, please email Carla Di Filippo

Registration OPEN for HC-X Digital Microcredentials in PreMedical Studies, Artificial Intelligence and Contemporary Finance

HC-X is pleased to announce the launch of registration for Winter 2024’s Digital Microcredentials for students in Grades 9-12.

Three microcredential courses are available this winter:

  1. PreMedical Studies B is a new microcredential this winter with a focus on Anatomy and Physiology. It can complement last fall’s PreMed A (Genetics, Immunology, & Organic Chemistry), also delivered in partnership with The Academies by Harvard Student Agencies. No previous experience is required.
  1. Artificial Intelligence returns to HC-X in partnership with Inspirit AI (Graduates from MIT and Stanford) with a focus on Machine Learning algorithms and Python coding. This microcredential was a success in Fall 2022.
  1. Contemporary Finance is an asynchronous course developed by HC-X in partnership with current parents and alum who work in finance-related industries. It touches on topics such as Cryptocurrencies, ESG Investing and Capital Markets. A winter cohort will convene for a launch and the course will be completed through Canvas.

Visit microcredentials.havergal.on.ca for information and registration or contact Adam Caplan, Director of HC-X, with any questions at acaplan@havergal.on.ca.
