Round Square International Service Trip: December of 2023, Thailand

Please CLICK HERE for information. Applications close June 1st. Please note, that this is not run through the Forum for Change; rather, it is through Round Square directly.

Please Return Your Library Books

Students are asked to please return all library books by Friday June 2nd. If a student needs a library book to prepare for an exam, they can email or speak to Ms. Shepherd to request a special loan extension. As per Havergal’s Library Book Borrowing Procedure, if a book is not returned by the last school day, June 16, 2023, the student’s College account will be charged for the cost of replacing the item. Students and parents will be notified by email about any unreturned item(s) within the first week of June to give students & families time to look for the unreturned item(s) or replace the item(s) for the library. There will be no refunds issued once a student’s College account has been charged for unreturned library material because the library promptly uses these funds to purchase replacements for the collection. If a book is found after a student has been billed, the student may keep the book or donate it to the library. Thank you for your support in helping us maintain our great library collection!

With 33 new Grade 9 students arriving in September the Class of 2027 will travel to Camp New Moon to take part in community building activities. Our new Grads (Class of 2024) will travel to Campfire Circle to learn more about themselves as leaders, spend time preparing for university applications and connect as a graduating class. Please find the link to both zoom meetings HERE.  These recordings will be posted here next week. Registration will start next week.

Wednesday Advising Time

This week all students will be gathering for one of the last practices for “House Shout.” For those curious about what House Shout entails, you can check out the performance by Catherine Steele House from May 2022 HERE

Last week during the Wednesday Advising programing, Grade 9 and 10 students had an opportunity to share in a fun-filled morning of activities organised by their Grade Reps. Students rotated between six stations that involved games like water balloon toss, spike ball, whipped cream slap and others, all the while listening to some fun beats, enjoying a few timbits and cheering on their peers as they watched their Grade Reps get dunked with water for the finale. It was a great way for students to bond with peers from the other grades and share in a few laughs on a beautiful day.
