Founders’ Day Registration

Today you will have received an email from Lindsay Norberg with important information about our Founders’ Day service at St. Paul’s Church on Bloor Street East. Please review, and register your child for their participation by Friday, April 14, by 9am.

Strive Dance Challenge – Watch it Here!

For families unable to watch our dance teams perform on Wednesday, April 12, 2023, the event coordinators have shared the good news that it will be live streamed at this link.

Dance Troupe Showcase

Mark your calendars! The Senior Dance Troupe Showcase is being held on Thursday April 20, after Founder’s Day. Tickets will be available in the Temerty Commons soon and at the door.

Athletics

Spring teams will be finalized by April 13th. Team rosters will be added to Veracross where families can locate the game and practice schedule. As always, games and practices (in short form) are also on THIS GOOGLE DOC (tab #3). You can find the names of coaches on line 5 of this google doc and are listed on Veracross if you need to reach out to a coach. The expectation is that members of a team can commit to all practices and games. Please be sure to look at the practice and game schedule to see any potential conflicts. The schedule is not set until April 12th, 2023.  If you have any questions, please email Carla Di Filippo. 

MIDDLE SCHOOL

Crescent School Dance

The registration link for the upcoming Crescent dance can be found HERE. There are a limited number of spots available, once the limit has been reached students will be placed on a waiting list.

Middle School Form Time

Nicole Waisglass, one of our school social workers, has designed an interactive lesson for our Grade 7 and 8 students. During this session they will learn about the positive impact that practising gratitude has on your mental health. 

SENIOR SCHOOL

Wednesday Advising Time

Students in grade 9-12 will hear from guest speaker Kyla Fox Kyla Fox, Founder and Clinical Therapist of The Kyla Fox Centre, a private eating disorder recovery centre in Toronto.

HCPA NEWS

Gator Gala

Gator Gala was a blast on Saturday, April 1! Watch for a link to photos in next week’s The Weekly! Thanks to the support of our Havergal community, the HCPA raised over $23,000 in the Gator Gala Silent Auction. These funds will be put towards the HCPA’s commitment to the Limitless Campaign.

Get Involved with the HCPA in 2023-24!

The HCPA’s nomination process is now open for the 2023-24 school year for HCPA Committee Positions. Connect with other parents, support the school and have fun by getting involved with the HCPA! Learn more HERE.

Volunteer for the HCPA or become a Grade Rep

The HCPA general Volunteer Form for the 2023-24 school year is now available. In addition to signing up to be a volunteer for events throughout the year, you may also use this form to nominate yourself to be a Grade Rep (for your daughter’s class) or a Community Ambassador. Don’t delay—the deadline for Grade Reps and Community Ambassadors is April 21.

REMINDERS

TPH Vaccine Clinic

The second TPH Grade 7 vaccine clinic will be held on May 26 in the Brenda Robson Hall. Please mark this date in your calendars. More details to follow in the coming weeks.

Crecent Dance

On April  21, there will be a Middle School Dance at Crescent. There will be limited spaces available on a first come, first served basis. The theme for this year’s dance is Beach Party and the registration link was available Thursday, April 6. Interested students are encouraged to sign up.
