Pride Week

Havergal is excited to be celebrating Pride Week from Monday, May 1 to Friday, May 5. Our theme this year is “Proud to be Me,” and is an important opportunity for us to come together as a community to promote equity, diversity, inclusion, and belonging for all. On Monday, Pride Prayers will celebrate gender identity, gender expression, and sexuality. Students will share their personal  stories with the community and there will be a panel at lunch for students to informally answer questions and talk about their experiences in more depth. In addition, we will be giving all students, staff and faculty progress flag pins at prayers. Students may choose to take one or not. Please find linked here the PRIDE WEEK schedule.

Academics – Exam Preparation for Students

As we approach the end of the school year, we would like to remind you that exams are coming up soon for our students in Grade 7-12. From June 5-14, students in Grade 10-12 will be writing their exams, while Grade 9 students will write three exams from June 7-14. Grade 7-8 students will write two exams on June 12-13.

To help our students prepare for these assessments, teachers will begin reviewing course material in mid-May. We also invite you to review our Exam FAQ information linked here for more details about the exam schedule, format and other important information. Additionally, we recently gave a presentation about exams to the HCPA, which you can review using this link
